Frequently Asked Questions

I want to know more but I’m not quite ready to book an appointment. Can we Chat first?

Yes! Please fill out an inquiry to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation! In the inquiry, please include the best phone number and days/times to contact you!

Do you accept insurance?

Bloomwell Pediatric PT and Wellness does not accept insurance. However, I am able to provide you with a superbill, if requested, for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company directly for more information as reimbursement varies between insurance plans and companies.

HSA/FSA DEBIT CARDS ACCEPTED!

Why don’t you accept insurance?

Simply put, insurance limits the amount of time and care that we are able to provide as healthcare professionals. In an out-of-network setting, I am able to truly spend the time necessary to provide high quality care and ensure that every family leaves each session with all of their questions answered! With experience in both insurance and out-of-network settings, I have found that there is more “buy-in” throughout the process in an out-of-network setting, improved carryover of the home exercises prescribed, which often leads to meeting goals more quickly and the family leaving with a more in-depth understanding and feeling of empowerment moving forward!

what is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged 100% of the session fee.

Do you do pelvic floor physical therapy?

No.  Dr. Nikki Amaro, PT, DPT, PCES an orthopedic physical therapist with a pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialty. In other words, she has taken continuing education to understand the changes in the body during pregnancy and postpartum and has applied that to her orthopedic background to use exercise to help improve perinatal functional mobility. If your complaints are primarily pelvic floor related (pelvic floor pain, painful sex, incontinence, prolapse) then a referral to a pelvic floor PT would be more appropriate. If you have other complaints you want to address or want help with exercise postpartum, and secondary complaints of pelvic floor problems, then Dr. Amaro would be happy to treat you! If you have any questions please reach out and we will honestly tell you where to get help. We truly want the best for your recovery.
